Heidi Hanssen advises financial services institutions in EMEA on regulatory, compliance, risk and outsourcing issues.

Previously, Heidi worked for the largest German public sector KfW Banking Group as Director Legal and Supervisory Affairs, Director Regulatory Compliance and inhouse attorney. She was registered with the supervisory authorities as the bank’s deputy regulatory compliance officer and also responsible for accounting outsourcings, regulatory risk culture, annual auditor and supervisory board management.

For more than 20 years, Heidi has been a fully qualified lawyer in Germany and worked for international law firms, such as Paul Hastings, in Germany and NYC with focus on corporate law, banking and finance.

She holds a PhD (Dr. jur.) in international private law, a university degree as compliance officer (Univ.) and university degrees for legal language studies in English law and in French law.
